I enjoy tutoring because I like to learn and share what I know with others in a way that is easy to understand. My drive to explain things clearly has led me to a strong academic background in the English language, including grammar, phonics, literature, essay writing, and more. I have six years of experience educating others in English, from teaching ESL to beginners to assisting college students with argumentative writing. I worked with everyone from middle school level students to adults. I'm certified to teach ESL, have plenty of experience working with high school level and middle school level students in the language arts, and I currently teach writing as an adjunct professor at Southern Connecticut State University. In addition, I can help students develop test taking skills and prepare for the ACT, SAT, GRE, PSAT, and other standardized assessment and admissions exams. In my free time, I enjoy watching television and movies, and also traveling. I've had the opportunity to live in South Korea and Lesotho.
